Laser dentistry is employed to cleanly and precisely treat a variety of tissue management issues. For example, when updating a crown, there is often extra tissue that has grown in around the old one. A laser will prepare the area for a new crown with pinpoint accuracy. It’s also used to sanitize deep periodontal pockets, correct tongue tied issues and remove any excess tissue left behind after wisdom teeth or braces are removed. Laser surgery is less invasive and less painful than conventional surgical techniques in all periodontic applications. Recovery time is also shortened, but the most important thing is always our patient, and for them, the laser provides a more comfortable and accurate surgical procedure.
